Spring training: Giants 6, Athetics 3
Todd Wellemeyer continued to move toward locking down the No. 5 starting spot in the rotation and John Bowker continue to make the Giants think about where he fits in to their 2010 plans during the Giants’ 6-3 win over the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night.
Wellemeyer gave up two runs — one earned — in five innings of work. He gave up three hits and two walks, while striking out a spring-high four batters.
Bowker went 2 for 3 with two doubles, two runs scored and a walk.

Aaron Rowand was 2 for 4 with two runs, a double and an RBI.
Bengie Molina was 2 for 4 with two RBI.
Juan Uribe was 2 for 3 with a walk.
Sergio Romo and Dan Runzler maintained their 0.00 spring ERA with scoreless innings.
Brian Wilson pitched a 1-2-3 ninth with two strikeouts for his second spring save.
